ユネスコ世界遺産委員会は、2021年7月27日日本時間の午後6時30分頃からオンラインで審議しました。
その結果、「北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群（北海道・青森県・岩手県・秋田県）」が世界遺産に登録されました。
今回の登録で日本の世界文化遺産は19件となり、4件の自然遺産と合わせ、国内の世界遺産は合計23件となった。
The UNESCO World Heritage Committee deliberated online from around 6:30 pm Japan time on July 27, 2021.
As a result, "Hokkaido / North Tohoku Jomon Archaeological Sites (Hokkaido / Aomori / Iwate / Akita)" has been registered as a World Heritage Site.
With this registration, Japan has 19 world cultural heritage sites, and together with 4 natural heritage sites, the total number of domestic world heritage sites is 23.
